You too can Zoom! (with St. John’s)
First and easiest way to get connected:
Go to https://zoom.us/test (anytime) and click on the big blue join button
This will ask you to download, save and then run a small file on your computer. Once you do so, it will join you to a test meeting (i.e. no one else is there) and help you test your video and audio. You only need to do this once on any computer, and then you know you can join another zoom meeting with no trouble at all simply by clicking on a meeting link that will be emailed to you or posted to our website. Like this link which will join you in to our worship Sunday March 22nd at 10:30: https://zoom.us/j/985848046.
If your computer doesn’t have a web camera, you can still connect using sound only.
If you don’t have a computer at all, you can still call in from your phone or iPad or tablet. You can even download Zoom to your phone/iPad/tablet and connect with video using the Zoom app if you’re feeling adventurous!
You can find simple steps on how to join a meeting here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/artiles/201362193-How-Do-I-Join-A-Meeting.
If you want to have meetings yourself (to connect with other church members or friends and family, you need to create an account. It’s free and easy to do; just go to https://zoom.us/signup and create an account. Then you can start meetings yourself and invite other people.
If you need technical help in getting set up to join our Sunday worship, please email care@stjohns-united.org. We won’t be able to help you Sunday morning itself, but can assist today (Saturday) or later on in the week for the following Sunday morning.
